BushLove

Ah, that rare thing: via Slate and Atrios, a Bushism with VIDEO.

The transcript: "Too many good docs are getting out of the business. Too many OB/GYN's aren't able to practice their love with women all across the country."—Sept. 6, 2004, Poplar Bluff, Mo.

No wonder Bush cannot talk effectively about women and reproductive health care.

Computers and Comments

After I starting sorting out the comment feature on this blog, I developed what we who are not in the computer industry call "issues" with my computer. Poor Mugwump just celebrated his fourth birthday and apparently the strain was too much, for he just died. Or, as a friend put it, "Ah, Rebecca, your hard drive is toast." Well, I am a religious backer-upper of files, as most grad students are, so I didn't actually LOSE anything, but still, replacing my machine was very stressful. It had to be done quickly and cheaply, for a grad student without a computer is like a knight without a horse, like a turtle without a shell, like a fish out of water, like a...you get the point. Well, Mugwump II arrived today and is humming along famously.

Now, if you would like to comment on this entry (for whatever strange reason), Blogger allows you to do this, although the process is somewhat counterintuitive. If I had the time and initiative, I would move to Moveable Type. But, since I have neither of those things, if you click on the time icon below the entry, Blogger will direct you to a page where you may comment to your heart's content. Enjoy!
